VanNatta Public Relations values relationships. These bonds are the catalyst by which all great business is done. Through social media campaigns, traditional media relations, strategic events and good old-fashioned communication, we build relationships with our clients and their customers (or members, volunteers or guests).
In 1967, Fred VanNatta founded Public Affairs, Inc. as a campaign management and public relations consulting firm. The company experienced immediate success, quickly developing into the gold standard for PR, consulting, and management in Salem.
In its second year, Public Affairs, Inc. managed the Republican Governor’s Conference in Palm Springs, which was chaired by Republican, Ronald Reagan, and was attended by 32 governors and President-Elect Nixon (not to mention Bob Hope who provided the entertainment for the event).
After Mary Louise VanNatta joined the firm as an Associate in 1986, the company saw a shift in clientele, working with notable clients like the National Basketball Association and the National Football League. Due to these changes, in 1990, Fred changed the name from Public Affairs to VanNatta Public Relations, Inc.
In 1994, association management expert and marketer, Harvey Gail, joined the VanNatta PR team. Under his direction and leadership, the firm experienced unprecedented success working with major associations and organizations.
VanNatta Public Relations celebrated 50 years of excellence in 2017. To this day, the firm continues the tradition of excellence and commitment to perfection that distinguish it as the gold standard of public relations in Salem.
